A few days ago, I went to a local bar with some friends to have a couple of Polar Pilsen beers—better known around here as "negras." There was no wild party, no excessive noise, and no drama involving a toxic ex-girlfriend. It was just a relaxed plan to share some time, talk about whatever, and catch up on our lives. Since I had a busy schedule the following morning, I left early, went back home, and went to sleep.

The next day, after running several errands and taking care of my responsibilities, I happened to pass by the same bar again. I decided to stop and have another "negra." Reflecting on it, during both the previous night and that afternoon, I managed to make a brief pause to step away from the daily grind and rest from a chaotic routine. I am not the type of person who sits down to reflect on how beautiful life is, nor do I enjoy that kind of cheesy sentimentality, but it did make me think about those quiet, normal moments that we usually enjoy with a beer in hand.

At the end of the day, those small breaks are necessary to keep your sanity intact. But hey... let's be honest, you don't always feel like having just one or two drinks. Sometimes the heat is so unbearable or your own habits kick in, and you simply feel like going through an entire case. Long live beer.

Hace poco fui a un bar con unos amigos para disfrutar de un par de cervezas Polar Pilsen, mejor conocidas en mi país como "cervezas negras". No hubo ninguna fiesta loca, ni ruidos excesivos, ni historias ex's tóxicas traumatizantes. Fue solo un plan relajado para compartir, hablar de cualquier cosa y ponernos al día con nuestras vidas. Como al día siguiente tenía cosas que hacer, me fui rápido del lugar para volver a casa y dormir.

Al día siguiente, luego de hacer varios pendientes y cumplir con mis responsabilidades, pasé nuevamente por el mismo bar. Decidí parar y tomarme otra cerveza negra. Pensándolo bien, tanto la noche anterior como esa tarde logré hacer una breve pausa para alejarme del ajetreo diario y descansar de la rutina caótica. No soy el tipo de persona que se pone a reflexionar en lo bella que es la vida, ni me gusta ese tipo de cursilería, pero sí me dejó pensando en esos momentos tranquilos y normales que solemos disfrutar con una cerveza en la mano.

Al final, esos pequeños respiros son necesarios para mantener la cordura intacta. Pero bueno... hablemos con la verdad, no siempre provoca beber solo una o dos. A veces el calor es tan insoportable o los propios hábitos cerveceros pegan tanto que simplemente provoca tomarse una caja entera. Larga vida a la cerveza.
