Unfortunately I was convinced that the villa had been maintained to its ancient splendor or at least that it was not dilapidated, instead you can't imagine the surprise when I saw the beautiful villa abandoned and left to decay, a real shame like many artistic and architectural treasures abandoned in our territory. But let's talk about this villa, it is located in the municipality of Ferruccia where I had been walking some time ago, you can find the post at the end of this blog. A green and very beautiful area for walking between the municipalities of Agliana and Quarrata, you can get to this villa either on foot along the river bank or easily by car, there is a small parking lot near the river and one of the many niches dedicated to the Madonna typical of the area. We parked the car there and then walked towards the Villa crossing a bridge that overlooks the river and it is very beautiful and pleasant even if the river unfortunately is not very clean. Too close to the city to be.

Desgraciadamente yo estaba convencido de que la villa se había conservado en su antiguo esplendor o al menos que no estaba deteriorada, en cambio no os podéis imaginar mi sorpresa cuando vi la preciosa villa abandonada y dejada en ruinas, una auténtica lástima como tantas riquezas artísticas y arquitectónicas abandonadas en nuestro territorio. Pero hablemos de esta villa, está situada en el municipio de Ferruccia por donde había estado paseando hace algún tiempo, podéis encontrar el post al final de este blog. Una zona verde y muy hermosa para caminar entre los municipios de Agliana y Quarrata, se puede llegar a esta villa tanto a pie por la orilla del río como fácilmente en coche, hay un pequeño estacionamiento cerca del río y uno de los muchos nichos dedicados a la Virgen típicos de la zona. Aparcamos el coche allí y luego caminamos hacia la Villa cruzando un puente que da al río y es muy bonito y agradable aunque el río lamentablemente no está muy limpio. Demasiado cerca de la ciudad para estar.

The villa was built towards the end of the eighteenth century on the Ombrone river by the Baldi family, a family of wealthy nobles of the time, they kept the villa for generations until the post-war period when the villa became a nursery run by nuns. It then had other owners, it is said that the villa for the inhabitants of Ferruccia was a symbol because everyone passed by that bridge and could not fail to notice the magnificent villa. For a period before being totally abandoned to itself it was a sharecropping now unfortunately it is a closed villa and almost falling to pieces. It seems that it was a beautiful residence full of tapestries, frescoes and decorated rooms but unfortunately today everything has gone to ruin and no one has any intention of spending money to renovate this villa, a real shame because it could have been a true cultural wealth of the area. However, visiting it was pleasant, we saw both the front with a beautiful staircase and the back which is the most ruined part, obviously for security reasons we did not even try to enter from any window. A beautiful villa that has certainly seen better times.

It really should be fixed up because it is in an enchanting position and now more than making a good impression it makes that bank of the river look bad, I sincerely hope that one day someone decides to restore it and that I can visit it again if it is ever fixed.

Desgraciadamente, desde lejos se puede ver que la villa está abandonada y en ruinas. En las fotos de la época, era una villa muy rica (si las encuentro las adjuntaré al post), pero aún así me intrigó y me informé sobre la historia de la que debió ser una de las villas más ricas de la zona. La villa fue construida hacia finales del siglo XVIII sobre el río Ombrone por la familia Baldi, una rica familia noble de la época. Fueron propietarios de la villa durante generaciones hasta el período de posguerra, cuando la villa se convirtió en una guardería dirigida por monjas. Luego tuvo otros propietarios, se dice que la villa era un símbolo para los habitantes de Ferruccia porque todos pasaban por ese puente y no podían dejar de notar la magnífica villa. Durante un tiempo, antes de quedar totalmente abandonada, fue una propiedad de aparceros, pero ahora, lamentablemente, es una villa cerrada que casi se está cayendo a pedazos. Parece que era una bella residencia llena de tapices, frescos y estancias decoradas pero lamentablemente hoy todo se ha arruinado y nadie tiene intención de gastar dinero para renovar esta villa, una verdadera lástima porque podría haber sido una verdadera riqueza cultural de la zona. Sin embargo visitarlo fue placentero, vimos tanto la parte frontal con una hermosa escalera como la parte trasera que es la parte más arruinada, obviamente por seguridad ni siquiera intentamos entrar por ninguna ventana. Una hermosa villa que ciertamente ha visto días mejores.

Realmente debería ser arreglado ya que esta en una posición encantadora y ya más que dar buena impresión hace lucir mal esa orilla del río, sinceramente espero que algún día alguien decida restaurarlo y poder volver a visitarlo si alguna vez lo arreglan.
