Monomad: Scenes at the skatepark [Eng/Esp]

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.

When I take photos at the skatepark, I usually focus on waiting for those perfect moments when the skaters are pulling off tricks, but this time, I’m sharing some moments that I thought were interesting to capture; there are no tricks, but there are people who truly live and breathe skateboarding in an incredible way. I hope you enjoy them.

Cuando hago fotografías en el skatepark, me centro mucho en esperar esos momentos oportunos donde los protagonistas hacen trucos, pero en esta ocasión, les comparto momentos que me parecieron interesantes de capturar; no hay trucos, pero hay personas que viven realmente el skate de una manera increíble. Espero que las disfruten.

I'm not a big fan of the digital noise that appears when you increase the ISO, but sometimes you have to raise it, and when I take photos here, that's one of those times, because I need to capture the movement, but I also need to get a sharp focus; as a result, I lose some light, and that's when the ISO helps me out a little.

Yo no soy tan amante del ruido digital que se forma al aumentar el ISO, pero en ocasiones es necesario aumentarlo y cuando hago fotografías aquí, es de esas ocasiones, porque necesito capturar el movimiento, pero también necesito hacer un buen enfoque; por ende, pierdo luz y es allí cuando el ISO me ayuda un poco.

I always enjoy these photos, the urban atmosphere, the people, and how special it is to capture a memory of an event where so many people from different places gathered for the skatepark’s opening. Without a doubt, photography goes beyond just pressing a button; it’s about capturing moments.

Siempre disfruto de estas fotografías, el ambiente urbano, las personas y lo especial que se vuelve el dejar un recuerdo de un evento donde se reunieron tantas personas de distintos lugares para la apertura del skatepark. Sin duda, la fotografía va más allá de solo presionar un botón; es dejar huella de momentos.
