The Fences
The Fence
I understand that a fence is for marking ownership and boundaries. Fences have many different styles. I like simple and beautiful fences. Especially, I prefer fences made from small plants grown neatly, about waist height.
Today, I read about fences in Australia from U Maung Tha Chos travel book. In Australia, most house fences are only about waist high. Some houses dont even have fences at all. The writer was surprised, and I was also surprised. Why? Because here, fences are usually taller than a person, and sometimes even have sharp spikes on top.
When I was young, I lived in a forest village. In that village, there were no fences. Instead of fences, people used bamboo or trees to mark the boundary. But now, with modern times, fences have changed. I think this is because the gap between rich and poor is very wide. Later, I also thought it is because people dont read books that can help develop their knowledge.
The pictures above are our fences of here.
