Hello #NeedleworkMonday Happy Friday! Today I want to share this frog keychain project🐸, even though it’s not my favorite animal. I saw a short video and liked it, so I gathered the materials and my crochet hook. After a few hours, I finished it—the pattern is simple, and I’ll walk you through the steps to make it.

Hola #Needleworkmonday Feliz viernes, hoy quiero compartir este proyecto de llavero de rana🐸, aunque no es mi animal preferido. Vi un video corto y me gustó, entonces busque el material y el crochet. Despues de varias horas lo hice, es sencillo el tejido y detallo varios pasos para su elaboración.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Green, white, and red cotton yarn.
- Size 2 crochet hook
- Movable eyes.
ESPAÑOL
- Hilo de algodón verde, blanco y rojo.
- Aguja crochet Nº 2
- Ojos móviles.
Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:
ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
pad: double treble crochet.
pat: triple treble crochet.
aum: increases.
dism: decrease.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.
ESPAÑOL
ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
dism: disminución.
pa: punto alto.
pad: punto alto doble.
pat: punto alto triple.
pr: punto deslizado.
Process//Proceso:
Green
Head.
- R1: Magic ring, 6 sc, sl st to close.
- R2: 1 inc, repeat, work in the round.
- R3: 1 sc, 1 inc, repeat.
- r4: 1 sc, 1 sc, 1 inc, repeat.
- r5: 3 sc, 1 inc, repeat.
Body.
- r1: Magic ring, 6 sc, sl st to close.
- r2: 1 inc, repeat, work in the round.
- r3: 1 sc in each space.
- Rows 4–12: Repeat Row 3.
- Row 13: 1 sc, 1 dec, repeat.
- Row 14: 1 dec, 10 ch, cut yarn.
Legs.
- Insert yarn into the body and make 10 ch, 4 sc, 5 ch, 4 sc, 5 ch, 4 sc, 5 sc. Repeat process until you have 4.
Eyes (02)
- R1: Magic ring, 12 sc, sl st.
White.
Eyes (2)
- R1: Magic ring, 8 sc, sl st.
Red.
Tongue.
- 10 ch, 9 sc.
Once all the pieces are complete, glue or sew each one together to form the desired shape.
Fold the circle in half, glue the tongue in place, then the body. Glue the tip of the mouth. For the eyes, glue the white part over the green part, and add the movable eyes. Glue these onto the flattened head. Finally, attach the keyring or make it into a pendant.

- v14: 1 dism, 10 chs, cortar hilo.
Patas.
- Insertar hilo en el cuerpo y hacer 10 chs, 4 mp, 5 chs, 4 mp, 5 chs, 4 mp, 5 mp. Repetir proceso hasta hacer 04.
Ojos(02)
- v1: Anillo mágico, 12 mp, pr.
Blanco.
Ojos(02)
- v1: Anillo mágico, 08 mp, pr.
Rojo.
Lengua.
- 10 chs, 9 mp.
Luego de tener todas las piezas se pegan o cose cada una hasta obtener la figura deseada.
El círculo se dobla a la mitad, alli se pega la lengua, luego el cuerpo. Se pega la punta de la boca. Los ojos se pega la blanco sobre la verde, y los ojos móviles. Estos se pegan sobre la cabeza aplanada. Despues de todo se instala el llavero o se hace un colgante.

This frog 🐸 is really cute, even though real ones scare me a little. It’s a simple project, perfect for beginners.
It’s also really exciting to say that I’m a crocheter—making amigurumi used to seem so complicated to me, but little by little I’ve managed to do it without too much trouble. I now understand each round, and using the method of marking and counting each stitch with a hook helps with concentration and brings a sense of calm. It’s quite a challenge to watch a short YouTube video, watch it several times, and take notes on the process, and with the constant power outages and other issues, starting and finishing a project isn’t that easy.
I made two frogs—one 3D amigurumi and one flat one. It actually takes very little time; since I have other tasks to do, it takes me longer. The flat frog reminded me of when, as a child, I often saw these amphibians squashed by car tires on the pavement. Now I don’t see that anymore—maybe the number of toads in the city has decreased.

... Y listo la rana 🐸 de llavero
Esta rana 🐸 es muy linda, aunque las de verdad me dan un poco de miedo. Es algo sencillo de realizar, está dirigido a principiantes.
Tambien es muy emocionante decirle que soy crochetera, y hacer amigurumi para mi era como muy complicado, pero poco a poco lo he realizado sin tanto trauma. Ya comprendo cada vuelta y usando el metodo del gancho de marcar y contar cada punto, ayuda a la concentración y calma. Es todo un reto ver un video corto de YouTube, verlo varias veces y anotar el proceso, y con los continuoas cortes de electricidad y otros problemas hacer y culminar un proyecto no es tan fácil.
Hice dos ranas una amigurumi 3D y otra plana. Realmente se hace en poco tiempo, como tengo otras tareas que hacer me tardo mas. La rana plana me hizo recordar cuando niña observé varias veces que en el pavimento estos batracios aplastados por las llantas de vehiculos, ahora no veo eso, será que han disminuido la cantidad de sapos en la ciudad.
