It was CREATIVESPOT

And it was cool

It doesn't mean to be disappeared, no. The project is still alive and gets bigger every new year. You can check everything by yourself bthw, http://creativespot.ru/ - no secrets (if you read russian). But since everything was reorganized (several times) nobody asked for an illustrated poster. Sad face here.

Now I have this

And quite happy to be the one who did it. I was asked to prepare a digital art for a flea market. And that's it. I was trusted because of reputation (small town, you know) and good sense of humor (no).

"Draw us everything they can buy"

That's was my task. There were two big aims: the first one was to make something stylish. "Like what you usually post in Instagram" - the best thing your client can say, right? The guy automaticly became my friend. I was ready to work as soon as I realised that he was looking for my style. Only my drawings were used as references and nothing else. The second aim was to show flea's most attractive goods. Pure joy.

It starts on a paper

I wasn't born with Wacom stylus in my hands. Every really nice digital illustration have to be started on a paper. Otherwise there always will be adventures I'd like not to participate.

After I finished several pages of doodles like that, I picked most interesting and choosed the circle as a basic composition.

The digital part

Then everything travelled to the Photoshop, traced and colored.

I still like those boots.	And want to buy that mason's t-shirt.

Minor corrections

Actually there were no real corrections. I just put CREATIVESPOT symbol in the middle of everything, changed the brightness of several colors and that's it. Everybody were happy.

The best part

The result! It was first time for my illustrations to be printed that big. It was all over the market - stickers, posters, banners - everywhere. Did I already tell you something about pure joy? Well, now it's time to start talking about happiness.

What goes after

A lot. I've made around 5-7 different commissions for CREATIVESPOT in one style, helped with branding and advertisment design - can't even remember all details. Thanks to that work I've got a lot of experience, a sea of joy and an ocean of connections. It was a really good year.
