False daisy (Eclipta prostrata), also known as Bhringraj in Ayurveda, is a flowering plant in the sunflower family (Asteraceae). It is widely recognized for its medicinal properties and is native to tropical and subtropical regions around the world. A small, branched, annual herb with opposite leaves and small white flowers. Typically grows up to 50 cm (20 inches) tall. Lance-shaped with a slightly hairy texture. Small, white, and daisy-like. Commonly used in Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Siddha practices. Known as a remedy for hair problems, including promoting hair growth and preventing hair loss. Used for liver health, skin conditions, and as an anti-inflammatory.
