Arabian jasmine, scientifically known as Jasminum sambac, is a beautiful, fragrant flowering plant native to Southeast Asia. It's widely cultivated for its small, star-shaped, white flowers, which are highly valued for their strong, sweet fragrance. Arabian jasmine is an evergreen shrub that can grow to a height of 1–3 meters. Its flowers are small, white, and typically clustered. They have a waxy texture and are known for their intense, pleasant fragrance.

The plant has dark green, glossy leaves, which are oval-shaped and grow opposite each other along the stems. It thrives in warm, humid climates and requires plenty of sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. It prefers well-drained soil and regular watering, especially in dry seasons. It’s commonly propagated by cuttings, but it can also be grown from see.The flowers are used in perfumery, and Arabian jasmine essential oil is popular for its soothing fragrance. In some regions, Arabian jasmine flowers are dried and used to flavor jasmine tea. It’s the national flower of the Philippines (called sampaguita) and is widely used in cultural and religious ceremonies in Southeast Asia.
Arabian jasmine is cherished for both its beauty and fragrance, making it a popular choice for gardens and landscapes worldwide.
