The Library [LBRY] Network and my First Impressions...
I am always looking for new platforms and projects that push the decentralized social media agenda and one of the more recent ones i found was Library or LBRY for short which was first created way back in 2015 so is a tried and tested platform, i thought i would share my experience of it so far though i am still getting to grips with it so my opinions may or may not change over time.
To start i should mention the signing up process which was very straight forward and only required an email which i then verified, to log in i simply request an email be sent to me and then follow the link contained within, this was easier than the multisig system used here on Hive and if you forget your password one can be easily reset.
As for the UI i am so far impressed with it and find the website easy to navigate i have also found some familiar users who also have accounts here on Hive, i uploaded a video just to see how to do it and again it was very easy and intuitive and has pretty much zero learning curve involved.
As far as the reward system there is little to no similarity with Steem so there is no upvoting facility but instead it uses a tipping mechanism where creators are rewarded automatically based on the amount of views their uploads get, rewards are paid in LBC (Library Credits) which as of writing is trading at $0.02507886 and is up by 72.2% in the last 7 days so now would be a great time to get on this platform.
There is also rewards for meeting certain milestones like increasing following and there are even rewards solely for beginners such as watching your first video which can earn a new user a few hundred LBC.
