A Compass Within Chaos

Today becomes tomorrow,
until the day I draw my last breath.

Life moves,
not always in straight lines,
not always fair,
but with a rhythm of its own.

It carries a compass
We do not always understand
born out of balance,
Yet seen by us as an imbalance.

And so I wonder…

Do we decide life
consciously or unconsciously,
in light or in shadow?

Or does life decide for us,
quietly guiding our paths
toward fortune or misfortune?

Maybe it is neither.
Maybe it is both.

Life happens,
uninvited, unpredictable, sometimes overwhelming.

But I am not still within it.

I reshape what I encounter.
I bend, I learn, I rise, I choose.

The storms may not be mine to command,
But the meaning they leave behind is.

So even in chaos,
even in uncertainty,
I carry something steady

a compass within me.
