I am Heaven
Someone once told me,
“I pray you don’t do life alone at the end of the day.”
And honestly, I understand why they said it.
Considering how distant I can be, they weren’t entirely wrong.
But let’s flip the coin for a second.
Have you ever seen people in their natural state?
Have you ever wondered how some people can make it their mission to strip you of your pride, your dignity, and your peace?
As painful as it is, that’s a part of reality.
Still, there is something called isolation not loneliness, but the fundamental truth that, at some point, each of us will have to stand alone and fight for our lives.
There is nothing wrong with having a circle.
I do.
But expecting me to be everywhere, to constantly show up simply because that’s what being “young” is supposed to look like that is not a meal I’m willing to eat.
Trust me, I am not doing life alone.
For the longest time, I thought my insecurities were the problem.
Then I realized it wasn’t insecurity.
It was the pattern.
The repeated disappointments.
The familiar cycle of misplaced trust.
What I believed was genuine turned out to be another game.
You won this time.
But I’m grateful I had enough wisdom to reserve a plate of hope for myself.
I am Heaven.
And if life has taught me anything, it is this:
Value your people, but never lose yourself in them.
Because whether we walk through life with many or with few, there is one journey every soul must eventually make alone.
So no, I am not afraid of solitude.
I have simply learned the difference between companionship and dependence.
