Framed by Nature: Branch Silhouettes and Changing Skies

The use of natural forms to frame the sky is an art in itself. Depending upon changing light throughout the day, the dark branches, leaves, and pine needles form sharp geometric shapes and make the air a living palette of changing colors and patterns.

In the first picture, thin bare branches extend upwards into a dramatic sky that has been divided into soft grayish clouds and blue spots.

The twig network along with the leaves left over from autumn makes a graphic design in contrast to the cloudy sky background.

The second picture takes on a more golden hue as nightfall draws nearer. The skies are filled with golden clouds that are juxtaposed with darker clouds that appear to be floating.

At the upper corner is a tree with sparsely distributed leaves, while at the bottom corner on the right-hand side is a pine tree whose silhouette stands guard over distant mountains.

The third picture shows the mid-day sun shining behind the trees that form a broad canopy of leaves. The rays of light shine through the canopy, forming an aura that is cast over the canopy of the trees and silhouetted against the background of tree lines.
