Silver Horizons: Silhouettes Under Overcast Skies
There is the quiet and pensive feeling associated with the overcast afternoon. As the large gray clouds cover the sky, the sun becomes a silver globe of light shining through the cloudy atmosphere and outlining all its surroundings with clear silhouettes.
The first photograph shows the leafy stalks going up towards the gap formed by storm clouds; their dark and clear outlines contrast vividly against the halo of diffused sunlight above them.
The composition changes in the second photograph to show the detailed network of winter trees branches in contrast to the atmospheric gray background. The sun shines brightly in the middle of the photograph, surrounded by the clouds.
In the third image, we see the wide street with trees lining both sides under the moody sky. There is a dark canopy in the shape of an arch that provides an arch-like frame above the quiet street illuminated by faint light.
