Framed by Light

Golden hour offers a backdrop where one can practice with perspectives, shadows, and geometrical figures. Through a combination of graphic handheld structures and expansive vistas, common sunsets get elevated into pieces of art through light and form.

In the first picture, three overlapping rectangle structures are used as a graphic structure on the orange skyline. The geometrical figure serves as a frame for the setting sun and the mountain formations, providing an interesting and conceptual way of dealing with the natural backlight.
