A year passed
There are heavy bags in life that you carry without even realizing it. The truth is that we all probably have them, even those who claim that they have worked hard on themselves and achieved perfect peace of mind and spirit. Scars probably remain somewhere in the depths, suppressed, smoothed by time and almost invisible.
And then, when the backpacks are opened from time to time, and we accidentally touch the rough surface of our previous, long-forgotten pains, then we realize that we still carry them. But the good news is that this situation is not hopeless. We can manage to carry everything, all the good and bad legacy, when we are trained; you know that the things are somewhere there, but you almost don't feel their weight. It's the same with possible issues you encounter in the present moment; the more prepared and strong you are in spirit and body, the easier it is to overcome the difficulties of any kind.
Last year, in February, I started with the Reformer pilates lessons as my physiotherapist advised me. His holistic approach when treating a patient is something marvellous, not many physiotherapists do their job in that way. I was very grateful for his advice, as after a few months of doing pilates, I felt a huge difference in my endurance. Maybe you also remember my post when I mentioned the reason I started this activity here.
I am more than sure it also helped me in the moving adventure we had last autumn. Although we were very tired in the end, it would be even more difficult if I didn't have this kind of body & mind preparation. I had to go back to pilates as soon as we settled down, so here I am, with these torture machines again. 😁
As I had a break of a few months (I started again in February of this year), I am still in a stage of not being very well trained for carrying heavy bags. The name of the place where I go to do pilates is sending a message, though - calma - calmness. Things will be sorted out in one way or another.
A year ago, when I started for the first time, I didn't know it would mean more than just a physical activity. Even if you sometimes feel wrinkled, like the leaves of that flower in the first picture, it's not scary if you are aiming to become well-trained one day, both in body and mind.
