Keeping Secrets or Saving Lives: What Comes First

I think I misread this prompt at the time of voting for prompts, and I did it again after it was chosen as the first prompt. It's why I kept putting it off until now before I started to write on it. I misread because I never knew what I knew had a word they call it "Client privilege" so I tried to understand what the word meant before writing.

Interestingly, client privilege is in almost sector that humans are involved in and it's something that was introduced out of trust issues so proceedings will go more smoothly. So I'll like to respond to the last part of the prompt first and say that the world can not be without distrust and so can not be without client privilege package.

An agreement to keep reminding humans to be humans, to protect humans from humans and to find help for humans from humans... That is how I see "Client privilege", it does more than just an agreement done between two or more people. It is set in place to protect or be a reminder for something held dearly by one or both the parties.

So the world would be more chaotic without this privilege in place, it's needed even in business too to keep strategies, hacks and recipes in secret for success. But I guess where the prompt is coming from is in the aspect of court cases, confessions to priests and health conditions by doctors, I think that makes it more of a dilemma.

Agreeing to keep something private or in secret is one and it shouldn't be broken but holding a secret that could either kill or save another, that's a whole different ball game and yes, it does question your decision to keep something secret. Only someone who has failed to see the value in saving another's life continue to keep the secret.

Especially for a court case where an innocent person is about to be sent into prison, I believe it's only right that an information from a client privilege that could overturn things, be used. Even though it would mean going against an agreement, I believe anyone would do same if it were someone they love that is in the same shoe.

I've also heard of a patients who lose their lives in the course of making agreement with doctors not to tell their families about their condition. That may depend though but I believe there are diagnosis that can not take lives whose families are aware and working hard to bring them back to health, such info shouldn't always be secret.

I don't have much to say about the prompt, I was thinking of a story to share as regards to it but I couldn't come up with any but the point I'll like to conclude with is that, if it comes to saving lives, such client privilege shouldn't take priority and no, the world would be in more chaos if this client privilege is not in existence. My thoughts though.
