SAMSUNG DEX

First off, this experience has been supported by the Nexdock 360. I see phones as being the primary computing source for societal functions. How so? Because it's done already. The only thing that is missing is mainstream consumer demand for docking stations that makes the cellular device feel like a desktop.

At the point of writing this blog, I feel much more confident using a Laptop with Linux Mint than a mobile phone with Samsung Dex. Samsung Dex in my thoughts feels like a Chromebook. Reason being the limited permission environment. This is only true if one doesn't have a rooted phone. The lack of customization and software support could be points of consideration too. In reality this is just a primitive stage of getting phones prepared for extensive use.

I didn't mention the awkwardness of moving around with a laptop and phone attached to a USB-C wire. Not that one is to be moving around often with a laptop anyway but still a consideration point.

The virtual keyboard is not conducive to typing conveniently at all. It can't even be expanded. Some of the applications UI seems off on a larger screen. Software needs adjustments to the capability phones being used in this manner.
