Visiting Mount Etna (Eng / Deu)

Last year, we also visited Mount Etna on our tour of Sicily. I can only recommend putting this destination on your bucket list. The mixture of ash and snow, the view over the island that stretches as far as the coast of Catania and the moon-like crater landscape are simply impressive.

We drove up Mount Etna ourselves and took the cable car and a guide for the last few meters. For the more experienced hikers among you, a guided ascent on foot is also possible. However, you should find out about the right equipment and clothing beforehand.

But no matter how you climb Mount Etna: The climb and, above all, the view are worth it, as you can see in the pictures.

Zu Besuch auf dem Etna

Letztes Jahr haben wir auf unserer Sizilienrundreise auch den Etna besucht. Dieses Ziel auf eure Bucketlist zu setzen, kann ich Euch nur empfehlen. Die Mischung aus Asche und Schnee, der Ausblick über die Insel welcher bis zur Küste von Catania reicht und die mondähnliche Kraterlandschaft sind einfach beeindruckend.

Wir sind selbst mit dem Auto auf den Etna gefahren und haben die letzten Höhenmeter mit der Seilbahn sowie einem Guide gemacht. Für die wandererprobten unter Euch ist aber auch ein geführter Aufstieg zu Fuß möglich. Hierbei solltet ihr Euch jedoch vorher über die richtige Ausrüstung und Kleidung informieren.

Aber egal wie ihr den Etna erklimmt: Der Aufstieg und vor Allem die Aussicht lohnt sich, wie ihr auf den Bildern sehen könnt.
