Festivals in the Digital Age🎉 [Eng/Esp]

Hello, hello, lovely community. Today I wanted to tell you about something that I think is one of the most incredible ideas in the world of music and entertainment.

Every year since 1999, the Coachella music and arts festival has been held—a festival created with the intention of celebrating and enjoying music. It features a variety of artists who specialize in different genres, sing in different languages, and offer so much more diversity.

It’s one of the most famous festivals, along with Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza. And like many young people, attending one of these festivals will always be a dream, a goal to achieve.

Hola, hola, linda comunidad. Hoy quería mencionarles sobre algo que me ha parecido una de las ideas más increíbles con respecto al mundo musical y entretenimiento.

Como todo año desde 1999 se celebra el festival de música y arte, Coachella, un festival creado con la intención de celebrar y disfrutar de la música. Donde se presentan distintos artistas que se centran en géneros distintos, que cantan en distintos idiomas y mucha más variedad.

Es uno de los festivales más famosos, junto con Tomorrowland y Lollapalooza. Y como muchas personas jóvenes, asistir a uno de estos festivales siempre será un sueño, una meta que cumplir.

Coachella took place last weekend and will continue this coming weekend. And that idea I mentioned at the beginning, which I think is one of the most incredible, is to stream these concerts live on YouTube for free.

Ahora, este año el Coachella se ha realizado el fin de semana pasado y continuará este otro fin de semana que tendremos. Y esa idea que mencioné al inicio que me parece una de las más increíbles, es transmitir estos conciertos en vivo en YouTube de manera gratuita.

In other words, if you can’t attend a performance for whatever reason—whether your plans didn’t work out as you’d hoped, you’re not into being around large crowds, or any number of other reasons— You can comfortably watch these live concerts and see the artist you want to see perform on one of Coachella’s many stages. And if another favorite artist is performing on a different stage at that moment, you can easily find the live stream for that stage and rewind a bit to watch the entire performance.

It’s really something I’ve enjoyed quite a bit, because from home you can also listen to a performance by a singer you really like—or actually, many of them—and while it doesn’t compare to the full experience of actually attending Coachella, I think it’s an incredible option that doesn’t leave you feeling disappointed either.

Es decir, que, si no puedes asistir a una presentación por algún motivo, si los planes no salieron como pensabas, lo tuyo no es estar reunido de tanta gente y muchas otras razones que pueden existir. Cómodamente se pueden ver estos conciertos en vivo, ver al artista que uno quiere ver presentarse en uno de los tantos escenarios del Coachella. Y si en ese momento de presentaba otro artista favorito en otro escenario, uno tranquilamente puede buscar el en vivo de ese escenario y retroceder un poco para ver la presentación completa.

Realmente es algo que me ha gustado bastante, porque desde su casa puede estar también escuchando la presentación de un cantante que le gusta mucho, o de muchos realmente, y aunque no se compara con l experiencia completa de realmente asistir al Coachella, me parece que es una increíble opción que tampoco deja un mal sentimiento.
