COD Mobile as a social refuge during weeks with a heavy academic workload. [Eng/Esp]

Hello, lovely community. I haven’t been around here in a while because, honestly, college is taking up way more of my time than I thought it would. But two weeks ago, I had a few days where I could take a break from studying and play a lot of Call of Duty. And I wanted to tell you about something that was really hard for me, but I managed to do it: I reached Legend rank again in Multiplayer matches.

Hola, linda comunidad. Hace un tiempo no pasaba por acá, porque de verdad que la universidad para este punto abarca más de mi tiempo de lo que creí que lo haría. Pero, hace dos semanas tuve unos días en los que me pude salir de tanto estudiar y jugar bastante Call Of Duty. Y quería comentarles algo que me costó mucho, pero pude lograrlo, y es que volví a llegar al nivel Leyenda en partidas de Multijugador.

Sometimes it really bugs me to play at this level, because there are some seriously skilled players out there, so I end up losing more and struggling to stay at that level than I actually have fun. But the reason I worked so hard to reach this level is that I can earn different rewards that will help me unlock a skin I really want. I’m not far from unlocking it and will show it to you soon.

A veces me molesta mucho jugar en este nivel, porque de verdad que hay personas muy buenas en esto, entonces, es más lo que pierdo y lucho para mantenerme en ese nivel, que lo que me divierto. Pero, la intención por la que me esforcé tanto para llegar a este nivel, es que puedo obtener distintas recompensas que me ayudarán a desbloquear una skin que tanto quiero. Ya no me falta mucho para desbloquearla y pronto mostrársela.

As for Battle Royale or DMZ, leveling up is honestly much harder for me than in multiplayer matches, especially in DMZ. So much so that I’ve only played that mode five times, because I lose more than I learn from it hahaha. Multiplayer is definitely my strong suit, not completing missions and collecting items.

En cuanto a Battler Royale o DMZ, de verdad que subir de nivel se me hace mucho más complicado que en partidas de multijugador, especialmente en DMZ. Tanto que solo he jugado esa modalidad solo 5 veces, porque es más lo que pierdo que lo que puedo aprender de esta modalidad jasjjaja. Definitivamente mi fuerte es multijugador y no estar cumpliendo misiones y recolectando objetos.

But there’s something I wanted to mention: since I’m so busy with my studies, social media is practically a distant memory for me; I can’t spend more than 30 minutes on video games; and when it comes to socializing with friends, it’s really tough. But with this game, I’ve been able to talk and connect with friends whom I haven’t seen in exactly three months due to a lack of time. So, thanks to this, we’ve been able to have a really fun time together after weeks that were extremely hectic for all of us.

Pero, algo que quería mencionar, es que, como estoy tan ocupada con mis estudios, las redes sociales son casi que un fantasma para mí, a los videojuegos no puedo dedicarles más de 30 min, y con relaciones sociales amistosas, de verdad que es complicado. Pero, justo con este juego, he podido hablar y conectarme con amigas que, por temas de falta de tiempo, no nos vemos las caras desde exactamente 3 meses. Entonces, con esto, hemos podido pasar un rato bien alegre, después de semanas extremadamente cargadas para cada una.

And well, honestly, I used to play just to have fun on my own and clear my mind of all that math, but since we’ve been able to coordinate our schedules—waiting for another little window in the evening to play—it’s so much more exciting, and the feeling of having talked to a friend after exhausting weeks is just wonderful.

Y bueno, la verdad que jugar solo lo hacia para divertirme sola y despejar mi mente de tanta matemática, pero, desde que ellas y yo hemos podido coincidir en noches y horas, esperar a que tengamos otro pequeño momento en la noche para jugar, es mucho más emocionante y la sensación de haber hablado con un amigo después de semanas agotadoras es una maravilla.
