Maya searched for cereal but found an old photograph tucked behind a shelf. It showed her mother as a child, standing beside a stranger. That evening, a family secret hidden for decades finally surfaced. “In the other aisle,” the shopkeeper said. For a little while, no one spoke. There was complete silence. The silence was almost deafening. When the shopkeeper said that he was the one who suggested their father to hide the truth from them, every one was so utterly disappointed. However, it was years ago and now no one really cared about it that much other than Maya and she deserved to know the truths behind it.
