Midnight Letters Prompt #16: Let's write a LOVE POEM for the Night
This week we will write a night poem. I must confess that it is my first poem, and I wanted to dedicate it to that wonderful person who arrived one night in July. They are one of those people who arrive without warning but come to stay and occupy such an important place in your life that you feel like you are starting over from scratch. They make you realize that not everything is as bad as you think and that there are people who are worth loving and caring for.
This poem is completely inspired by her and what I feel, or rather, what she makes me feel. It seems strange how difficult it is to express ourselves, yet when it comes to writing, it becomes so easy; we just need the right inspiration.
A Night in July
I adore the night that reminds me of you, like the night I wrote to you.
I never thought we would get this far, yet now I don't know how to live without you.
Thinking about your eyes keeps me awake; everything reminds me of you.
Seeing you happy makes my life joyful, being close to you is where I want to be.
Nights with you are the best I can feel, the warmth of your skin is the best I can feel before I go to sleep.
