Hola amigos y amigas, aquí estoy de nuevo con ustedes, con mucha energía y disposición de trabajo; además con un alto sentido de responsabilidad para asumir los retos que me proponen en el REDFISH RALLY. Esta vez con un tema relacionado con las redes sociales y sus aplicaciones.

Hello friends, here I am again with you, with a lot of energy and willingness to work; also with a high sense of responsibility to take on the challenges proposed to me in the REDFISH RALLY. This time with a topic related to social networks and their applications.

Empiezo comentándoles sobre un capítulo de mi vida que quedo enterrado en el pasado y que esta relacionado con el tema. Resulta ser que yo era una persona muy temerosa, poco dada a los cambios tecnológicos que implicaban el uso de las redes sociales, porque pensaba que estas invadían mi privacidad.

I start by telling you about a chapter of my life that was buried in the past and that is related to the topic. As it turns out, I was a very fearful person, not given to the technological changes involved in the use of social networks, because I thought they invaded my privacy.

Mi trabajo era dar clases a niños de primaria y secundaria, utilizando mis libros como herramientas para impartir conocimientos de enseñanza-aprendizaje, y no necesitaba de nada más - solía decir en reiteradas ocasiones -.

My job was to teach primary and secondary school children, using my books as tools to impart teaching-learning knowledge, and I didn't need anything else - he used to say repeatedly -.

Mis hijos fueron creciendo y un día me dijeron que querían como regalo de navidad una computadora. Me pareció buena la idea porque ya el mayor iniciaba la secundaria y además era muy curioso. Así que les regalé su computadora. Aprendieron rápidamente a utilizarla. - ¡Dios! - pensé - me estoy quedando atrás - porque no entendía nada de eso 😄.

My children were growing up and one day they told me they wanted a computer for Christmas. I thought it was a good idea because the oldest was already in high school and he was very curious. So I gave them their computer. They quickly learned how to use it. - God! - I thought -I'm falling behind - because I didn't understand any of that 😄.

Cierto día, uno de ellos me dice: - bueno mamá, es hora de que te actualices - me dio mucha risa y le respondí - ¿actualizarme?, yo estoy al día con las noticias de los periódicos y la televisión - pero el insistió - es que te quiero abrir una cuenta de Facebook, y voy a necesitar algunas de tus fotos para tu perfil, ademas de un usuario y una contraseña -. Enseguida le di una respuesta negativa.

One day, one of them tells me: -well mom, it's time for you to update - I had a good laugh and I said -update?, I'm up to date with the news from the newspapers and TV - but he insisted - is that I want to open you a Facebook account, and I'm gonna need some of your pictures for your profile, plus a username and password - I immediately gave him a negative answer.

Así pasaron los días hasta que al fin accedí, porque me habló de las ventajas de esta red social, como por ejemplo: socializar con mis amistades y familiares, ver las publicaciones diarias y así estar más actualizada. Les comento que desde esa vez Facebook formó parte de mi vida y actualmente es una de las apps que mas utilizo por su variedad en contenido.

The days went by until I finally agreed, because he told me about the advantages of this social network, such as: socializing with my friends and family, seeing the daily publications and thus being more updated. I tell you that since that time Facebook was part of my life and now is one of the apps that I use more for its variety in content.

Whatsapp es una de las aplicaciones que también utilizo con regularidad, la empecé a manejar el año pasado, cuando otros de mis hijos me dijo: -Bueno mamá, es hora de que dejes ese "perolito" (se refería al teléfono sencillo de mi propiedad - y continuó diciéndome - aquí tienes esta tablet nueva para que continúes actualizándote -. Les cuento que me costó un poco aprender a utilizarla, pero al fin lo logre, me gusta mucho, porque es mas personal y los mensajes llegan al instante, siempre y cuando tenga el internet. Desde aquí puedo enviar mis mensajes con los emojis de Bitmoji, estos últimos son muy divertidos, también realizo y recibo mensajes de voz y fotos.

Whatsapp is one of the applications I also use regularly, I started using it last year, when some of my other kids told me: Well mom, it's time for you to give up that "perolito" (he meant the simple phone on my property - and he continued to tell me - here's this new tablet for you to continue updating yourself - I tell you that it took me a little while to learn how to use it, but I finally did it, I like it a lot, because it is more personal and the messages come instantly, as long as I have the internet. From here I can send my messages with the emojis of Bitmoji, these last ones are very funny, I also make and receive voice messages and photos.

Por último, Instagram es otra de las aplicaciones que también empecé a manejar, conjuntamente con el Whatsapp, aunque no la utilizo para hacer publicaciones personales, pero si me gusta para seguir cuentas de interés y ver las noticias del día . Aquí la información llega al instante.

Finally, Instagram is another application that I also started to use, together with Whatsapp, although I don't use it to make personal publications, but I do like it to follow interesting accounts and see the news of the day . Here the information comes instantly.
