Uneventful Day, We got scammed!
Behind those cool pictures lies a nasty story, I have no energy to describe what really happened to me and my cousin. But in short, we got scammed twice by the airport driver and also the homestay owner. I know that during these events many will try to take advantage of new comers. We essentially visited a place where the locals speak a mix of their local language and indonesia. We get by speaking bahasa indonesia but there are instances where the driver to food stall owners speak with their local language to each other in front of us. Thankfully though, despite we got scammed, we managed to find a camping ground. The staffs have been really friendly and helpfull.
We are the first!
We were the first to arrive and even booked this camping ground. There were even 2 journalist from national television who interviewed my cousin and I. They asked us about the MotoGp, where we came from and why we chose the camp site. We don't really have a rainbow and sparkles story. We came here because we were scammed. But again, my mom told me to just enjoy the trip and let it go. The amount wasn't a lot. But what got me the most is when Ray and I had to walk in the heat for 2km. Did I shill hive? yeah and even 3speak too because when I was capturing things around, the camp ground owner and staff asked me. When the journalist interviewed him, I recorded his statement as well which I will showcase later.
And this is me, being baked inside the tent eventhough it's really breezy and windy outside.
