Replica- Watercolor
I have to say I suck at drawing. This is why, since I got back into watercolor, I keep practicing to draw from real life objects and landscapes that I have been to. Today, I dedicated 2 hours of my time to learn to draw a starbucks cup and leaves from my table cloth. I had to make some sketches and keep practicing just to draw a straight line for the cup. Needless to say, it wasn’t easy. This time, I also opened a new color tube; flesh tint, it’s pink-ish/peach that I haven’t tried using before. Maybe after this,I’ll use the color more. I also tried to mix dark brown with black to create a darker illusion for the cup. As for why I chose green for the cup, it’s because my replica is from Starbucks Xmas edition with a green cup. I could have gone with while or just soft brown but I chose to spice it up a little bit. I used paper tape but it ended up ruining the paper because I wasn’t careful enough with water consistency as well or perhaps, it’s just not the right tape for it. Anyhow, next time I’d probably be drawing batik again!
