It is a widespread tree, grown in all tropical countries. Its medicinal use are:

  1. diarrhea,diabetes
  2. infectious swelling and mouth ulcers
  3. relieves toothaches, sore gum and dysentery
  4. promotes the flow of urine, expels worm in the body
  5. also an effective insecticide

How to prepare:

-the bark of tree is used in decoction for #1 and #2.
-infusion of the leaves and bark for #3
-the juice from the pericarp is for #4
-and the gum extracted from the bark is use for #5

Caution:

  • The raw milk nut must not be used by pregnant women.
  • The oil obtained from cashew raw nuts must not be used on warts, blisters, corns and ulcers.
