Stuck in my Thoughts

How much of your day do you spend in your thoughts?

  • I'm in my thoughts and I need to get out more often.

Let's call the people who spend much time in their thoughts "the mind introverts".

Are are you a mind introvert?

Do you fantasize a lot? Do you spend hours not necessarily thinking but playing an entire story in your mind?

All you need now is director and writing skills and you've got movies to produce.

Don't worry, I'm not here to say you're wasting your time in it, you might not be, we can call that "your little bubble".

It's a fun thing when you fantasize the outcome of events before they happen, or wait... You're fantasizing because of the little to no hope or faith you have in yourself and your ability to make that story you're playing in your mind, a reality for you.

Yeah!!! me too.

I'm a Queen in my own thoughts, I have a name for my own city, all in my head. It was quite easy to build. It took a split second to build the roads, the skyscrapers, pay the workers, purchase the luxury cars and make the family proud. It didn't take grinding everyday. I guess that's why I resorted to it.

  • It was easier.

Perhaps you're not a millionaire yet. The fastest and cheapest way to feel like one is to fantasize it. If you do it a lot, it starts to become addictive.

And you might say to yourself, I'm just doing it to gain clarity, but sometimes it becomes counterproductive because that time can be used to take a little step towards the goal.

I can't help it, or I'll say "I couldn't help it".

Mindfulness is what I'm blabbing about right now. To pay attention to what you're doing throughout your day.

Are you going to go to the spiritual enlightenment monk to tell you that "when you're eating, you're eating, and when you're walking, you're walking?"

Don't worry, I'll save you the gas fair and tell you myself.

Perhaps a more productive way is writing on Hive.

To let my thoughts flow in writing rather than fantasizing it. Maybe I'll mistakenly say something that inspires someone.

I was stuck in my thoughts and now I'm free. I was hesitating to take action and never hesitating to imagine the results of the action I'm not taking, and with the time I'm supposed to be using.

I still saw that as ok. Why? What was wrong with me?

It was easier that's why? I was afraid that's what.

My brother barely fantasizes. He doesn't like looking at pictures of his dream car, he's out there on the road, move back to back to get just a tiny bit of what I was fantasizing. In the end, he stands a greater chance of getting it.

Have I changed?

Yes, yes I have, I'm now mindful and the headaches are less. Clarity has come and now I'd rather live in reality and make an effort to get a piece of what I fantasized in real life than to fantasize the whole thing and live in my thoughts.
