Absolutely.

I believe you have heard of the maxim tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are.

This indeed is true. As we grow up, we spend less time with our family but more with friends. With this said, often times than not, friends influence our actions and decisions than our family. Meaning, when we go with friends with bad influence, most times we get carried by their actions and eventually, we up like them. Likewise, if we go with friends with good influence, then we may imitate them and be good as well.

Another is, birds with the same feather, flock together. If the friends you keep are drug addicts, even if you are not, the people around you will perceive you as one of them. When one of your friends steals, then people will also think you steal. Even if you are a good person but is surrounded by bad friends, you will get corrupted and be like them.

That is why, as much as possible, choose the people you go out and engage with. When it comes to people in your life, quality is more important than quantity. Having little friends won't mean you are not friendly but you are just careful with who you interact with. What's the use of having hundreds of friends who only brings harm to you?

Now, my friends, always choose people who can bring good to you. Being alone is better than having a toxic company.
