When Nature Speaks Through Birds - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 281 Smap
The bird in these photographs is Laughing Dove (Spilopelia senegalensis). It is one of the most common birds found here in Punjab, Pakistan and is known as Fakhta locally. It is a very gentle bird and can be seen in gardens, parks, farmlands and even residences where it quietly forages and harmonizes perfectly with the environment.
The Laughing Dove has grains, grass seeds, and other types of small seeds as its diet. This bird has a very peaceful and shy nature, and when it feels that somebody is getting too close, it swiftly flies off. Nonetheless, it is an excellent addition to any environment and brings lots of serenity to it.
I have taken this photograph while going for a walk around my society yesterday. Each time I see the Laughing Dove, I realize how beautiful nature can be. In among all kinds of birds, it is the species with the special attraction for me.
The first thing I adore about Laughing Dove is the melodic cooing sound of it. Even when I am busy with something, I cannot help but pay my attention to it because of the sound. Every morning I can hear the singing of the laughing dove, which is one of the most pleasant things that start my day.
From the very childhood, I have loved the birds. When there is an opportunity to do it, I sit and admire the birds, enjoying their singing. It helps me relax from everyday stresses and tensions and make me calm. I think that it is necessary to say that birds are extremely important for our beautiful and peaceful world.
Having caught this moment, I wanted to share it with my dear feathered friends on Ecency.
I hope that you will like this picture as much as I like taking the pictures.
Thank you for your visit! Have a wonderful day in the nature!
