Here’s a nice little example of propaganda.

The headline of this article found on NBC’s website is,
“Photos show hundreds of migrants, including children, crammed into overflowing border facilities”

But, look at the photos accompanying the article: do you see hundreds of people in the images?

I don’t find any of the images that come close to "photos showing hundreds of people." This is a typical tactic of the propagandists.

How many people that are going to question what they are expected to see and compare it to the reality of what’s actually displayed?

But, even more importantly, how many are going to remember the headline’s statement that says, “photos show that hundreds are crammed into overflowing facilities?” That headline will live on in viewers memories long after they forget that the images never really backed up the headline… that is the trick of propaganda. No proof necessary, but constant and repetitive reinforcement of the meme is paramount to effective propaganda.
