Friends

I remember a kid,

She was always a loner, not by choice, being smart enough to learn anything with less effort is considered cheating.

She refused acceleration classes because standing beside girls older than her is scary. She forcefully put mistakes on his exams so they will all be average. She never does extra activities so she can maintain her grades at average.

Everything she does is average... the only thing is, that she can do almost anything.

She really hated standing out... she really hated raising her hand knowing every answer.

She really hated the whispers going on about her.

But at least she has her friend to talk to, doesn't reply though, just stares at her with those empty round eyes. Funny, how they understand each other completely.

Funny how it fills the empty void that is in her heart.

How it keeps her company.

How it helps her cope up with her everyday life.

Till one day a girl tap her from the back then said, "Hi!".

She smiled and greeted her back, but the girl looked confused as she asked, "Where is your friend?"

She look back but only saw a white feather slowly gliding down to the ground.

As she turned and smiled to her new friend, she answered, "He already went Home."
