Whether it is closed or open, restricted or free for all, one of the most intriguing things about doors is a sense of movement it creates in our minds.

The first thing we want to know is, what is behind a door, or what's on the other side. Prompting action towards or away from it.

Doors represent opportunities, privilege, safety, beginnings, endings, growth, abandonment, community, loneliness and so much more.

Meaning for our action, in walking through a door, is elevated through a narrowing gateway that creates a sense of measurement or label, which determines if you can or you can not fit through it.

Beyond that, doors are mainly a concept that is in our minds, symbolically. Because if we decide, then the power lies solely in our hands, as to what doors we wish to open for ourselves and what we invite into our lives. Which doors we brake open, and which ones we decide to finally unlock.

Which ones are you closing?

What are you walking away from?
