Visiting a dream school, literately

This week has been marked with Nostalgia. I had 2 big dreams that stayed on my mind many days after having them. One I talked about yesterday, the nostalgia of watching TV and such. But a day before that I had another dream, it wasn't really nostalgic in itself. But did brew some of it. I went back to my old college, but the college was completely different and renovated, almost Sci-Fi like.

Having multiple floors and some sort of unreal book stands almost floating in the air. In Mexico we had a library that looks almost as unreal as a dream.

It wasn't large or particularly big, but the one I dreamed about was almost the same, except the ground floor featured a wide, rounded space full of cubicles for people to actually read those books. Beyond a glass wall on the other side lay the library lobby, which also served as the main entrance to the college. This meant that most of the reception and administrative areas were housed on an island similar to what hospitals have when you first walk in, complete with several computer screens. Anyway, I wanted to go there and see if I could recognize any of the staff from back in the day.

I also wondered about the Latino community that formed back then; I wondered if there was still some sort of student organization for our background. In those days, we mixed people from Latin America with Arabs and Europeans, but maybe that community has since grown to establish its own formal organizations.

As I wandered through the dream, the familiar scent of old paper and polished floors washed over me, instantly pulling me back to my younger years. The architecture felt both comforting and surreal, as if time had paused just for me to revisit a chapter of my life I thought was closed forever. I wanted to linger longer in those halls, to trace the path I used to walk between classes and see how much the campus had truly changed.

However, the dream wasn't very long—it was just vivid and impressive. I eventually woke up right as I was explaining to the staff that I was an alumnus hoping to get a quick tour.
