A World That Needs More Peace
I remember scrolling through Tiktok sometimes last year when I kept seeing videos of little children in Palestine crying because of what their families were going through. Some were sleeping under tents, while others were struggling just to get food. Honestly, those videos used to cause me a lot of pain because it is hard to watch children suffer in that kind of situation and not feel emotional about it. In fact, there was one particular video I watched that actually brought tears to my eyes because of how heartbreaking it was.
I honestly do not think the world should be this way. I believe the world should have more peace, and people should learn to love one another more. I do not see anything good in war, and I also do not believe there is any reason strong enough to justify innocent people suffering because of it. War usually leaves behind pain, destruction, and loss. It destroys homes, separates families, and takes lives that can never be replaced. Even when the fighting eventually stops, the effects often remain for many years because people still have to rebuild their lives from nothing.
Right now, there is an ongoing war that has already killed many people, and when I tried to think deeply about what the final outcome of it all would be, I honestly could not see anything positive coming out of it. The destruction is too much, and the suffering involved is something no one should have to experience. It becomes even more painful when you realize that many of the people affected are ordinary citizens who have no direct control over the conflict.
Now, what makes it even more concerning is that wars do not only affect the countries directly involved; they also affect other countries in different ways. For instance, the price of fuel in Nigeria has increased to 1300 per litre, which has been causing a lot of problems in the country.
So basically, when international supply is disrupted, different countries like Nigeria that depend on majorly importation also feel the effect through increased costs and economic pressure. This is why war is not just a local problem—it often creates wider difficulties for many people around the world.
