Splinterlands: Using Runemancer Kye for the first time in a long while

Splinterlands is a complex game, and it allows for various cards and strategies. Each fight is different as there are various rulesets applied, and this can give specific cards an advantage depending on how you use them. In this post, I talk about a great battle where I won because I used Runemancer Kye.

Featured cards

Runemancer Kye is a water splinter that costs 11 mana. This splinter starts with the flying and life leech ability. This card learns fury at level 3. This is a card that is now part of the wild set because it was moved out of Modern a while ago.

Rule Set, Battle, and Plan

The rulesets this time are Outsider. This means that one wild unit can be used. There is also 59 mana available, and I can use any splinter except for death.

The focus of this lineup is to keep my monsters alive while dealing damage and outlasting my opponent. My archon is Marlai Singariel for the +1 speed. My tank is Mantaroth with shield and armored strike. Thanalorian Scion is my backup tank. Daarg is next to some support monsters for the weapons training, and Runemancer Kye is my final monster because that flying can be useful against sneak.

Round 1

At first glance, I think that this match is my win. I just have more damage than my opponent, and there isn't much my opponent can do against that.

Round 3

A few rounds later, my opponent has 2 monsters left while I have all of mine. I am using magic monsters so I can't miss, so this is an easy win.

Conclusion

The battle this time did go exactly as planned. I just had the stronger lineup, and there wasn't anything my opponent could do. The damage combined with the speed allowed me to completely overpower my opponent. Runemancer Kye was quite amazing as it got 2 extra health every turn from the life leech, and that flying ability can make physical attacks miss.
