Cleanliness: The Mark of a Responsible Student
Cleanliness is part of being a good student, it is a character that will teach us how to take good care of our environment ourselves and even our future generations.
As being student of the Bohol Island State University, we are obliged to participate on maintaining the cleanliness of our campus. One day, while I was still on my boarding house I received an announcement about our general cleaning which will be held by tomorrow, so I sleep early and woke up early too since our general cleaning starts at 6 am to avoid a very hot weather in the morning.
By the way our cleaning area was located at CBM or College of Business Management nearby the Multi-purpose hall, and cleaners in every area we’re grouped by Barangay.
As I am a resident of Barangay Catungawan so here we are nearby the multi-purpose Hall and I am with Bonil one of a good friend of mine back then when I was still in high school, he is now in 3rd year while I am in 2nd year, so since I don’t have bolo in my boarding house what I did there is just trying to take all of those unnecessary wild grass.
After cleaning that side it’s time to settle down all unnecessary grass and put it in a sack and throw it away in the garbage area and also we have received a help from the first year students who took the initiative to include our garbages and so I am glad to do my part as well, the more the better.
Later on, after a while of cleaning and throwing all the garbages we waited for the attendance as it is part of our responsibility as town organization member because after the entire year we will have consequences if we are not active in our participation as member of our very own town organization.
In conclusion, it was a good experience for me and I just hear most of the time some of student just go to school when cleaning is almost done and they just want to have an easy life, attendance directly without even helping us it is just so ad because of their bad behavior which will really define them who they are as being part of the community. But later on it was dealt by our organization president so it become better by the next general cleaning.
