Sunset

Another day ends
With a breathtaking display of colours
Strewn across the empyrean.
From a distance, the sun kisses the horizon
Spreading the fleeting remains of its final glow.

Like art, elysian hues paint the sky
In a rather orphic manner
A mesmerising tapestry begotten,
Capturing the serendipity
Of nature's daily masterpiece.

An endless stretch of luminescence
Sets the world aglow.
Embracing the peacefulness of twilight,
It bids a golden farewell
To what once was a dulcet aurora.

Soon, all will be dark
As the beauty of the sunset fades,
The awe of a starry night taking its place.
A reminder,
That endings can be beautiful.
