Cough and cold home remedy

God made everything with a purpose.

Wet season or rainy season is now on going here in Philippines. It is raining almost everyday, sometimes it rained the whole day and whole night, sometimes we have a very hot weather in the morning and then the rain suddenly drop in the afternoon.

During this season, cough, cold and even fever are in season too. Most people are sneezing, complaining with runny nose, clogged nose and most are coughing too.

Me, myself is not exempted. I had cold and then my throat started to feel uneasy. I gargled with warm water with salt but after few days I really had cough.

I went to the doctor for check-up because I am worried for my baby in my womb, yes I am pregnant (I haven't shared about this here yet).

I waited for my turn in the health center for hours hoping to have prescription for cough and cold but when the doctor knew that I am pregnant, she just told me to drink warm water, lemon and ginger. I went home and followed her advise.

I followed that tips for days but it didn't works well for me. So, I tried to ask other ways and a friend told be about garlic, Calamansi and orange.

Today, I will show to you how I prepared this home remedy: GARLIC, CALAMANSI AND MANDARIN ORANGE.

I cut the Calamansi and Mandarin orange into half and I peeled the garlic.

I then mashed the garlic and put it in the 1/4 glass of water. I just used tap water, no need to use hot water so that the enzymes of garlic will remain.

I then squeezed the Calamansi and Mandarin orange.

Strain it to removed the pulp and seeds and then add a little bit of brown sugar.

Our home remedy for cold and cough is now ready. You can drink it directly.

God really made everything with a purpose. He provided everything for us. Plants, trees, fruits, vegetables and herbs are there for our own consumption. They are useful for food and for medicine. We only have to know how to use it.

With God's help my good health has been restored, free from cold and cough, thank you Lord.
