Between Weekend Stories
Hello hello Weekend Creatives.
Today I come to tell you a story.... Did you know that a long, long time ago animals didn't have tails? !!!!!
So begins the story that I have rehearsed the most to tell in the events where I am invited as a storyteller.
This time I was invited to participate as a storyteller in the Theater Festival that is taking place in my city.
I am from Venezuela and I live in the capital city of Caracas.
By this time of Holy Week, is giving a theater festival that has convened a large number of theatrical performances of circus, puppetry, comedy and other activities to enhance the culture of the country.
One of them are the storytellers, storytellers are oral storytellers, storytellers, storytellers, fables is a very nice and rewarding profession.
Although, sometimes I get a little stage fright, exposing myself in front of the audience, even if they are mostly children.
To be a storyteller, I need to learn a story and stage with my body language and voice the characters and their expressions.
It is a job that fills me with gratification and I enjoy it, although I always have butterflies in my stomach and my heart is racing. That makes me feel alive and present.
I have a costume that I like very much and I like to go out and tell stories with it, I have created my own style and that fills me with satisfaction.
This weekend has been a very busy and rewarding one, because when you finish telling the story you receive the applause, the looks and smiles of the little ones.
Also, the gratitude of the parents who see us equally amazed. It is always a pleasure to listen to a good story, the grown-ups enjoy it and feel like children again.
The stories carry with them a touch of magic, which involves everyone in the story, and as storytellers we recreate each character, in their gestures and interaction.
In this way we also motivate children to read and they can also be protagonists of the stories that are told and create new experiences in the characters, change the ending and enjoy as a family.
Do you like to tell stories or listen to them?
What stories do you know? Would you dare to tell a story in front of an audience of children?
I read to you
Thank you for coming here ....
I bid you farewell until the next adventure.
