JAMBU fruit
Hi ... I am @janicetan . I am from Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. This is my first post here on this community. I want to share a special fruit that is found here. It is called the JAMBU. Have you seen this fruit before? It is quite juicy. This is also known as the JAVA APPLE. In Malaysia, it is called the JAMBU. It taste like a combination of apple and pear as the flesh inside is firm and yellow. Other name for this fruit is the water guava or rose apple. It has smooth thin skin. Usually, this fruit can last a week but once you cut it open, you'll have to eat it within two days. Below are some of the pictures of the Java apple. Bought a whole bowl of it because it is the JAMBU season at the moment.
This is what it looks like inside. Looks like healthy French fries. It is great to eat on a hot day especially now with such a hot weather. It has a high water content making it a great treat. It is crunchy and every bit is so tasty. This is a great snack. These are grown at my friend's local farm which reduces pesticide so it's more organic. Although they are called the Java Apple, they don't taste like apples at all. The Jambu can also be blended to as a type of beverage to boost health.
The skin looks very smooth. The best way to eat them is just to wash them and cut them open and directly eat them. They have lots of vitamin C.
Have you eaten the Jambu before? This is one of the best fruits to eat.
