At the start of the show stolas was kind of a side character, but he ended up being a bigger deal because everyone liked him, and fundamentally he was a good guy but he had some bad traits and was 3D.

like you could see why he would cheat on his wife because it was a loveless marriage and she was a pretty bad person, but still cheating is a bad thing, and the way he treated blitzo was quite toxic particularly in that he was manipulative for trading it for the book and stuff when blitzo wasnt really into it.....

But in my opinion then it seems like the show did a lot better than they expected and now theyve made stolas a (or even the) main character, and because its done a lot better than expected the big guys at the top dont want to take risks anymore and theyre like ok he cant have any bad traits. So we're gonna make it so his wife is like comically evil, literally every single thing she does is just based around trying to make stolas' life miserable and its like.... k cheat on her then, and we're going to make it so that it wasnt actually stolas being toxic and manipulating blitzo for s**, blitzo was actually manipulating stolas into thinking it was harmless flirting that he was into

and it makes me feel like the show is going to go a lot more safe/corporate in the future
