stand out?

it was probably around 30 minutes past 7, the streets were still abuzz of people coming in and out of the subway. it was also time to get some dinner which didn't help with the crowd at all. stores were "all out" with their services and irrashaimases, this store gathered up some passerby up front while i on the opposite side of the street was just amazed at how unique the store sign was. when usually you get the store name at the center bold and unobstructed, this shop displayed how their table would probably look like with their signature dishes. the store name? it wa written on the chopstick container just like how it usually is. it definitely looked like how this generation takes food photos to post in social media. what a great and innovative way to stand out.

space?

around 15 minutes more and i finally reached the silent side of town. only the sounds of these eager boys on the field could be heard echoing distances away. around 50 were on the field, separated into 4 different uniforms, each having one goal post; they were sharing the grounds amongst themselves so everybody is happy. and this was even a science university yet these boys were actively training their physical bodies as well: what a wholistic approach indeed.

mobile bicycle?

that led me to this park where some bicycle light was left lit. it must have been accidental, in this crisis we are in everybody is asked to conserve energy. but aside from that, this picture actually shows a rental bike system. japan is quite famous for their love of bicycles, yet some people do not own one. and if by chance you happened to pass by this remote park, and happened to enjoy the plants or even the playground they had, and had that "organic encounter" you have been longing for, and happened to enjoy each others' company completely forgetting how time flew, then you always have this rental bike to save your day. what is even more convenient? you rent the bike through a mobile app, you pay through the app, you return your rented bike at a rental area closest to your destination (or even far depending on your needs) and you choose that through the app as well. what a day savior.

nonsense?

now here is a weird one but i still kind of get it. "food picks" selling used clothes? what is all this nonsense? does some people see clothes as food these days? have they finally discovered how to digest cotton, silk, and polyester? it is kind of funny if you see it that way but this is a scene of resilience i think. the food business did not "click" at all, but the owner tried another way to earn instead of giving up. food out, clothes in. earning money is a daily struggle. laban lang, keep on fighting!

space again?

yeah, it is. this art decoration/display is inside a 4 story don quijote shop, straddled on the staircase. space is really not an issue here, no matter how narrow that space may have been, they still managed to display art. space is really not an issue when it comes to making things beautiful.

and what is the point?

the age old adage "if there's a will, there's a way" is the common theme for today. things can be accomplished with will power and determination. so for those of use struggling in life right now, keep on fighting! the "way" will eventually show up as long as you don't give up.

does that make sense?
