To compete with myself
Lots of people out and about near the farmer's market. On my way back an older woman, maybe 40s/50s tall and skinny in yoga pants overtook me and I caught her at traffic lights and she went on again. She turned off around 44th but that trying to keep pace with someone gives me motivation to train harder so I can be fitter, not to compete with someone else but to compete with myself.
