Kraken - ice sculpture
One of my favorite carve of the season, the Kraken! I have a few of those under my belt, so I'm quite comfortable with it and I was able to get done with this in a few hours. The bits that support the ship are getting a bit thin for public display, but hopefully, the sculpture lasted. Worst case scenario, the sculpture wouldn't be ruin if that part fell off.
All of the suction cups are actually recessed instead of popping out. I've got this handy spike ball bit that I put on the end of a die grinder, so I've made quick work of those. Making them all pop out would have taken an insane amount of work considering the time we're supposed to dedicate to each sculpture. In the end, I think carving them down in negative work just as fine for this context.
