Cutting stand - Wood working 2021 spring update #1
I initially made one of these as a gift for my wife and figured it could be a great item to add to my catalog. Cutting and gluing those 45-degree angles makes you realize the difference between cheap tools and expensive tools. There's a level of precision that I can't get with the tools I have. Also, working with cedar isn't the easiest thing. The planks have a tendency to splinter and crack, so I have to be careful with that. I then made a model out of pine and I found that this type of wood is much easier to work with. Cedar has a more rustic look, but pine is much slicker. I had people choose either according to their preference. Unfortunately, expensive shipping doesn't make for a great item to put on for sale if not local.
