A very underwhelming plot development

In the livestream for this patch they specifically brought up the brand new lore about the main character having arrived in some kind of spaceship. (originally they arrived inside of meteorites) There was plenty of build-up and focus on this new plot element before but this time there wasn't really anything new. The ship played more of a role as a McGuffin to get the characters to investigate something else that was related to the current story.

This story is also just really dramatic. You have this one character Columbina. She was born 500 years ago and throughout that time the world's been rejecting her which has left her so weak she's dying. The way to stop this is to return to the moon which she believes she can easily do when the moon is closest to the planet and this happens basically every year because there's a local holiday to celebrate it. So you'd think if she was getting weaker and the option has always been there for the last 500 years, she would have already gone back a long time ago. The only reason she wouldn't is because we needed this dramatic "she's dying so we need to help her get back to the moon" plotline.
