Sad flower. Flor triste

Have you ever felt sad without knowing why? Sometimes we mirror the feelings of our surroundings, and I'm not necessarily talking about people. It could be something as simple as everyday things, like an abandoned dog looking for companionship and food, or the deplorable state of a once-iconic building. Of course, if that thing is inanimate, the feeling is entirely subjective. In the photograph above, the sensation that comes to mind is sadness, although that doesn't mean the flower is sad. It's more the cloudy morning or that apparent tranquility before the workday begins.

Anyway, I'm on my way to the cafeteria now. I'm definitely going to feel much better.

Alguna vez te has sentido triste sin saber por qué. En ocasiones reproducimos los sentimientos de lo que nos rodea y no necesariamente estoy hablando de personas. Podrían ser tan solo cosas cotidianas, como un perro abandonado buscando compañía y sustento o el estado deplorable de una edificación que antes fue icónica, por supuesto que si esa cosa es inanimada, ese sentimiento es totalmente interpretativo. En la fotografía de arriba la sensación que viene a mi mente es la de tristeza, aunque eso no implique que la flor esté triste. Es más bien la hora de la mañana esté nublado o esa aparente tranquilidad antes de que empiece la jornada de trabajo.

De cualquier manera ya voy rumbo a la cafetería. Sin lugar a dudas me voy a sentir mucho mejor.
