Dreams A Plenty
I think we were the pretty things,
that's how we saw ourselves,
just four lads with dreams a plenty
without a search for wealth,
it was always all about the journey
and the journey called for fun,
just four lads with dreams a plenty,
who walked into the sun.
We played until our fingers bled,
for us, for them, for all,
just four lads with dreams a plenty,
who thought they heard the call,
everything we thought we knew
as only youth can feel,
just four lads with dreams a plenty
and thought our dreams were real.
Turned on by the love of music
surrounded by our friends,
just four lads with dreams a plenty,
who never saw the end,
I look back on those halcyon days
when comradeship was all,
just four lads with dreams a plenty,
who heard their future call.
