Zingtober #1. "Deer"

Hello everyone at HoloZing!
Today I’m here to bring my first piece for this drawing marathon known as Inktober. This time, #Zingtober.
I’m going to try to create one piece a day for a month — and I’ll dedicate it entirely to HoloZing!

I promise to do my best with each piece. I’ve been drawing for years, but this is the first time I’ve seriously decided to take on an Inktober challenge.

🦌 About the Artwork

This piece is based on the prompt “Deer.”
I wanted to portray a nature-type healer named Ana, accompanied by her partner Shinaara, a creature that seems quite popular among participants of the event.

🎨 Process

Part 1: Sketch
I started with a basic sketch to define the composition and pose.

Part 2: Base Colors
Next, I gave Ana some volume and applied base colors to Shinaara.

Part 3: Shadows and Final Touches
I finished by refining the shadows and adding volume to both characters.

Finally, I used a grass texture brush along with a mountain stamp brush, which made it much easier to create natural details in the background.
