Illustration #25 - ocean healer Amy
Good morning, Holozing community!
Today I’m back with one of my favorite drawings so far: an ocean-type healer named Amy.
Amy is a very shy girl who loves to gaze at the ocean in silence. She carries a plush toy of the Whale character —something I found so cute that I just had to give him a plushie version for this drawing.
So far, this design is my favorite. My previous ones had simpler perspectives, which wasn’t bad, but it made them feel less dynamic. This one, in contrast, feels more alive and expressive. Of course, it was more challenging to draw (I’m not used to this kind of angle), but I’m really happy with how it turned out.
This image from Pinterest was one of my inspirations. It isn’t identical, but it sparked the idea of drawing a shy, contemplative girl. From there, I adapted the outfit and details to fit the Holozing theme.

Here I polished the line art so the colors fit the contours better, and I added a little bag to make her design more charming.
Part 4. Shadows and volume
Adding depth with shadows and refining the shapes.
Part 5. Lighting and skin adjustments
Finally, I refined the edges to make the drawing feel more harmonious. I corrected the right eye, which looked a bit off, and added a sea-inspired background to tie the theme together.
And that’s all, folks!
This piece was a real challenge for me, but also a great teacher. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and showed me the value of patience and experimenting with perspective. As a group of artists I admire once said: we should always aim for the top. That’s the path I want to follow—always improving, step by step, without stopping.
The software used was Krita. For references I used PureRef, and I translated this post from Spanish to English with QuillBot.
Thank you very much for watching.
